Business Analyst - 1
Location: South Harrow, London, HA2 0DU (Onsite)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, and developers to enhance our remittance platforms and ensure seamless user experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with stakeholders (operations, compliance, finance, customer service) to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Analyse end-to-end remittance workflows (sender → processing → payout).
- Understand payment ecosystem (SWIFT, SEPA, mobile wallets, bank transfers, cash pickup).
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Ensure systems align with AML, KYC and Sanctions screening requirements.
- Act as the liaison between business users and IT/development teams.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment on project scope.
- Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria and support UAT.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Analyse transaction data to identify trends, risks, or inefficiencies.
- Support reporting needs (transaction volumes, fraud detection insights).
- Improve customer journey (faster transfers, fewer errors).
- Support digital transformation initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as Product/Project Management or Business Analyst, preferably in fintech or remittance.
- Strong understanding of payment systems and financial services.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system integrations is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in remittance or cross-border payments.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance frameworks.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications.

- Handle client inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
