Keeping Your Money Safe
How we protect your money, your data and your transfers when you use IME London.
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Regulated payment services
Subhida UK Limited trading as IME London is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA Register Number 576127) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 to provide payment services. Being regulated means we must meet standards designed to protect customers, including rules on safeguarding, governance, systems and controls, and treating customers fairly.
2. Safeguarding of customer funds
Relevant funds received from customers for payment transactions are safeguarded in accordance with the Payment Services Regulations. In practice, this means customer money used for transfers is kept separate from our own working capital, so that in the unlikely event of our insolvency those funds are intended to be returned to customers ahead of other creditors, subject to applicable law.
Safeguarding arrangements apply to funds we hold for the purpose of executing your payment transaction. They do not turn your balance into a bank deposit, and IME London is not a bank.
3. Secure systems and verification
We use layered controls to help keep transfers safe, including:
- identity verification and customer due diligence checks;
- secure online and mobile access controls;
- monitoring for unusual or potentially fraudulent activity;
- encryption and security measures for data in transit and at rest where appropriate; and
- partner networks that are subject to contractual and regulatory expectations.
4. Clear transfer information before you pay
Before you confirm a transfer, we show key details such as the amount you send, applicable fees, the exchange rate (where relevant) and what the beneficiary is expected to receive. Always check beneficiary details carefully — incorrect account or cash-pickup details can delay or misdirect funds.
5. What you can do to stay safe
- Never share one-time passwords, PINs or full login credentials with anyone.
- Be cautious of scams asking you to send money to “friends”, “investments” or emergency contacts you have not verified.
- Use strong, unique passwords and keep your devices updated.
- Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or a mistaken transfer.
6. Complaints and support
If something goes wrong, contact our customer service team as soon as possible. You can reach us at info@imelondon.co.uk or +44 20 8866 0307. More help is available in our Help Centre and Contact pages.
If you are unhappy with our final response to a complaint, you may be able to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service, subject to eligibility.
