IME London

Customer Acceptance Policy

How we decide who we can provide payment services to, and what information we need from you.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

1. Introduction

Subhida UK Limited trading as IME London (“IME London”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA Register Number 576127) to provide payment services. This Customer Acceptance Policy explains the standards we apply when onboarding customers and accepting payment instructions.

These requirements support our obligations under UK anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF) and sanctions laws, and our Terms and Conditions.

2. Who we can accept as a customer

In general, we may accept individuals who:

  • are at least 18 years of age;
  • have legal capacity to enter into a contract;
  • reside in a jurisdiction where we are permitted to offer our services;
  • can provide satisfactory evidence of identity and, where required, address; and
  • are sending money for legitimate personal or permitted purposes.

We primarily serve personal customers. Business or commercial payment needs may be subject to additional checks and may not always be available — please contact us to confirm.

3. Information and documents we may request

Depending on the product, destination, amount and risk profile of the transfer, we may ask for:

  • full legal name, date of birth and residential address;
  • a valid government-issued photo ID (for example passport or driving licence);
  • proof of address (for example a recent utility bill or bank statement);
  • source of funds or source of wealth information;
  • purpose of the transfer and relationship to the beneficiary; and
  • additional information about the beneficiary where required.

We may verify information using electronic identity verification providers and other reputable data sources. Failure to provide requested information may result in delay, refusal or cancellation of a transfer or account.

4. Situations where we may decline or restrict services

We may refuse to open an account, accept a transfer, or continue providing services where, for example:

  • we cannot complete satisfactory customer due diligence;
  • the activity appears inconsistent with your profile or stated purpose;
  • you or a related party appear on applicable sanctions lists;
  • we suspect fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime;
  • you provide false, incomplete or misleading information; or
  • accepting the transaction would breach law, regulation or our internal risk appetite.

We are not obliged to provide detailed reasons where disclosure would be unlawful or compromise our controls.

5. Ongoing monitoring

Customer acceptance is not a one-time decision. We monitor transactions and may request updated documents or information at any time. We may suspend or terminate services in line with our Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

6. Protecting your data

Personal data collected for customer acceptance is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
